Heath is passionate about leading cross-functional engineering teams that bring simple solutions to complex problems. He will guide the overall team and the strategy of engineering teams at Very to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Before joining Very, Heath was leading Product Development at SimpliSafe. He helped scale the engineering organization by 10x and led in launching several new products including a family of battery cameras. Before SimpliSafe, Heath grew up as an engineer doing embedded firmware for capacitive touch screens during the smartphone boom, early IoT device development, and chip design and testing at Cypress Semiconductor and Microchip Technology.
Heath has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Masters in System Design and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Heath has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including Industrial, Medical, Automotive, and Consumer Electronics, and has led in launching high-volume products that have millions of devices in the field.
Heath loves anything he can do outside – especially with his wife and three kids. When he’s not busy with kids’ sports, church activities, foster care, or work, Heath is a DIY’er at heart and renovates homes, builds fun things, and fixes the constant stream of broken kid toys.
